BTW, that Dallas hospital has admitted that both the doctors and nurses were told the guy was visiting from Liberia, but they sent him home anyway - with a diagnosis that he was suffering a low-grade fever caused by a virus.

That diagnosis was one hundred percent correct, as far as it went. But it never went far enough to identify the virus causing the low-grade fever as being EBOLA!!!

Burt, the problem with the issue of fat was not the scientists, at least not mostly. Most of the actual scientists knew it was hooey, even Ancel Keys, the initial promulgator of the theory of killer cholesterol and evil fat, who later repudiated the bulk of it when the actual science demonstrated it was hooey. (Props to him - smart and honest enough to admit when he was wrong).

But for the past thirty years, even while moronic non-scientists like George McGovern were busy declaring the science settled and cementing these junk theories into government mandates, that actual science was showing something quite different.
